The next-to-last stop in this year’s Legend Series was the Virginia Beach Billfish Tournament, held in of all places Virginia Beach, Virginia. With a fishing fleet of 73 boats and 500 anglers, they gave the 190 fish they raised and released a run for the money – a purse of $388,500. In the end Captain Robert Brown and the crew of Just Right raised eight fish to take Legend Series honors for this event and place 4th overall in the tournament. Runners up were Fightin’ Chance and Wahoo.
