The Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina Billfish Tournament (June 1-3) was a fitting start to the 2006 MTU Legend Series, with the event's laid-back, family-friendly atmosphere serving as a nice counterpoint to the competitive contest at sea. "This was a great start to the Legend Series and was exactly what we envisioned," said Steve Mazepink, Marine Sales Manager for MTU Detroit Diesel. "Our tournament hosts were wonderful and really worked with us to create a sense of fun and excitement for MTU and Detroit Diesel owners. Everything went smoothly and everyone just had a great time." A total of 58 boats competed, releasing 48 billfish.
