The Pirate’s Cove Billfish Tournament out of Manteo, North Carolina was stop number eleven of the MTU Legend Series. This event fielded a fleet of 124 boats. The tournament purse of $1,060,760 tempted anglers to raise and release 276 fish in the hunt for the title. The Legend Series event winner was Benchmark. Next in line was Blue Sky (which earlier took third place Legend Series honors in the HMY-Viking Megadock Billfishing Tournament), and third place went to Micabe.
